Your gums attach to an implant differently
A natural tooth has tissue that grips the root directly. An implant doesn't — your gum forms a snug collar around it instead. That collar ends up forming a deeper space around the implant.
The shape makes it hard to brush
The crown is wider than the post underneath it, so there's a curved ledge just below your gumline. Your toothbrush can't get into that space, and floss has the same problem — it doesn't reach that far down.

Formulated by a dentist
Implant ProCare was developed by Kyle McGill, DDS, a practicing dentist. In his own practice he kept seeing the same thing: implant patients who brushed and flossed carefully and still found the space around the implant hard to keep clean. Most rinses were formulated for teeth. He wanted one formulated for implants — a concentrate made for the water flosser his patients already owned.
